I hope you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. I pray you took some time to say thank you to God for the goodness He has given you over the past year. As we are wrapping up the Thanksgiving holiday and turn our attention to Christmas, let us not forget the main lesson that Thanksgiving is meant to teach: namely, that all we have is a blessing from God.

Many may think that hard work, determination, and luck have led to their fortunes, but that is simply not true. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. [James 1:17 NKJV] God has blessed and to bless His children. What we usually do is mess things up. We should be doubly grateful that God blesses us in spite of ourselves.
