MELBOURNE — Ozarka College has announced the hiring of a new chief flight instructor, Jim Verser.

Verser is a graduate of Henderson State University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in aviation.

Verser also received his airline transport pilot license, certified flight instructor, instrument instructor, and multi-engine instructor certificates while attending Henderson.

“I have always been passionate about aviation and have been involved in aviation training throughout my entire career. I came to Ozarka to continue doing what I love to do and to help mold the next generation of professional pilots,” Verser said.

Dr. Richard Dawe, Ozarka president added, “Jim will be such an asset to our program, and I have already observed the professionalism and experience as an airline pilot that he brings to the program. We are fortunate to have him join the team.”
