A Batesville resident is dead after an accident Tuesday morning in Sulphur Rock. A previous release of the fatal crash summary has been corrected by the Arkansas State Police online. Nicholas B. Warner, 23, of Batesville was driving a 2010 Nissan Xterra, that collided with 2000 Peterbilt semi at the intersection of South Vaughn Street and Hwy. 9. The report states weather conditions were rainy and road conditions were wet.

Earlier in the week a Salem resident died after a one-vehicle accident. According to the fatal crash summary from the Arkansas State Police, about 10:29 a.m. Monday. Spencer Matty, 27, was travelling southbound on Hwy. 9 near Camp when his vehicle ran off the roadway to the right and struck a concrete culvert and overturned. The report states weather conditions were clear and road conditions were dry.

A Melbourne resident died after a one-vehicle accident on Memorial Day. According to the fatal crash summary from the Arkansas State Police, about 7:02 p.m. Guy W. Saber, 54, was travelling southbound on Hwy. 167 on a 2014 Yamaha. While negotiating a curve, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a ditch embankment, becoming airborne, and then struck a utility pole. Saber was taken to White River Medical Center. The report states weather conditions were clear and road conditions were dry.
