An Independence County Town Hall meeting will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at White River Planning and Development, located at 4441 Harrison St. in Batesville.

The topic of discussion will be the need for additional child care.

The public is invited to take part in a conversation about the need for additional child care in Independence County, with a focus on infant and toddler care.

Participants will discuss opportunities for growth around this critical topic and the impact child care has on the local economy.

Anyone who has an interest in expanding a current child care program or who is considering opening a new program are welcome to come and be part of this discussion.

The event is sponsored in partnership with Child Care Aware, Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Arkansas Family Child Care Network.
