Warrants have been issued for Shanda Lynn Brooks, 32, and Kayla Michelle Reaper, 37, on felony charges of commercial burglary and theft of property, both class C felonies, from an August incident at College View Apartments, at 99 Lawson Drive.

Independence County Sheriff Deputies were called to the apartments when it was discovered an office window had been broken out and several items had been taken including a computer, security system, a key maker machine and Milwaukee brand impact tools. Security video stored off-site was reviewed and two suspects were identified.

According to the affidavit for arrest, deputies reviewed the security video and identified Brooks and Reaper, who lived at the apartments. Reaper is seen putting gloves on as Brooks is standing in the hallway, Reaper enters the office by the doorway and a short time later exits the office and is carrying a black bag with what appears to be several things in it. Reaper and Brooks are then seen exiting the building through the side door.

The value of the property stolen was estimated at $6,000.
