Ole swimmin' hole

The following was provided by Kenneth Rorie: “This is our ole swimmin’ hole on Salado Creek at Huff. The remains of the first bridge across the creek built in 1870 are shown in the background. One tier is still standing. A second tier was standing until a flood got it a few years ago. The bridge was washed away in the big flood of 1927 when old-timers believed that the whole state was under water, and they were not far from wrong. This photo was taken in 2017.”
