Oil Trough under precautionary boil order

OIL TROUGH — Oil Trough is under a precautionary boil order for all water customers until further notice. Jimmy McDaniel, Oil Trough’s water employee, has issued the order.

Cave City boil order in effect

CAVE CITY — On Wednesday, Cave City Water Department experienced a major water line break on its water distribution system. The break has been repaired, and the department is now restoring water pressure to customers.

However, due to the amount of time it took to repair the damage and the loss of pressure that resulted for a number of customers, the department is issuing a boil order until further notice out of an abundance of caution for the community. The department believes the issue to be fully resolved but wants to be careful as water service is restored.

Direct questions to the water department at 870-283-5563 or water@cavecity.us.

“I want to thank all of our city employee who responded to this issue and worked so hard to get it resolved as quickly as possible,” Jonas Anderson, mayor, said.
