Pfeiffer Water to meet

The regularly scheduled monthly meeting for the Pfeiffer Public Water Authority has been set for 5:15 p.m. Tuesday at Batesville City Hall.

BAAC presents Eric Freeman exhibition

The Batesville Area Arts Council will present Western Love Glow, an exhibition by Eric Freeman, at the BAAC Gallery on Main (226 E. Main St.) through Nov. 21.

This exhibition includes a series of colorful striped oil paintings along with black and white woodblock prints featuring phrases pulled from Freeman’s poetry.

Freeman has described his art process as “painting the poetry of dreams.” He is an American-born painter, poet, musician, and photographer living in Little Rock. His work is included in many private collections internationally and is part of the permanent collections of the Arkansas Art Center and the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas.

Drop by to view Freeman’s work during BAAC’s regular gallery hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

‘Poltergeist’ to be shown

A free showing of “Poltergeist” will be held at 8 p.m. Oct. 23 at the pocket park on Main Street in Batesville sponsored by the Independence County Library. The movie is rated PG.

Those planning to attend must R.S.V.P. by Oct. 21 to 870-793-8814. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for socially distanced seating.

Refreshments will be served.
