A $100,000 bond was filed for Christopher Keith Adams, 38.
According to the affidavit for arrest, Batesville Police Department made contact with Adams at 3:14 a.m. Monday, May 1, at the Chaney Citgo station on North St. Louis St. in Batesville.
Adams fled the area in a maroon Chevrolet Equinox. The ensuing pursuit reached speeds of 100 mph, traveling into oncoming lanes of traffic, and through traffic lights and into Sharp County and Cave City, before stopping. Adams was taken into custody without incident. In performing an inquiry through the Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) it was learned that Christopher Keith Adams had been previously convicted of 34 felonious crimes which include forgery, theft of property, possession of a firearm by certain persons, breaking or entering, possession of controlled substance and failure to appear. Adams was cited with felony fleeing, a Class C felony.
A $25,000 bond was filed May 4 for Walter Graves Renfrow, 42. According to the affidavit for arrest, at 3 a.m. April 20, a Batesville Police Department officer saw a stolen vehicle driving on White Drive. The officer attempted a traffic stop and the white Honda Pilot fled the scene. A pursuit ensued that reached speeds of 100 mph into Cushman. The driver, later identified as Renfrow, turned onto Collietown Road and bailed out of the car. Renfrow was taken into custody after a short foot chase. Upon returning to the stolen car, a clear baggie containing a white crystalline substance and a smoking device was in plain view in the driver’s floorboard. Another glass smoking pipe was found0 broken in the roadway. The substance field tested positive for meth and weighed 24.9 grams. Renfrow had been previously convicted of seven felonious crimes which include theft by receiving, battery, possession of a controlled substance, and criminal mischief.
