Poetry "About Me"

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)
I smile from inside and sometimes i weep
My emtions are hidden So i don't appear weak
My body although small I'm really quiet strong
From all the trials and errors of Just trying get along
I don't judge people For it's not my place
I don't ask for much but prefer talking face to face
No one is wrong as long as they are real
And a Fake person With them I don't deal
Memories are great Regret frustrates
Predicament can spoon feed your every thought
You have to be wise let It be known
that you can not be bought
A good friend is like a secret
It's something to be kept inside
It doesn't come with lies and doubt
But with truth and pride
If you have one comrade That you know is there
You have more than most For that you can't compare
If you think your life has been a bad curse
Just look around you There is always someone worse
This life here on earth Is what you make it to be
Just remember to never Leap before you look
And a fish has to bite
Before you can get him on your hook

Feeling's In A Frame

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

I wrote these feelings down
And saved them just for you
That way you can go back and read them
If you ever feel the need to
I put them in a frame so you could hang
them on your wall,
Maybe you could hang them
above that dresser in your hall.
Or you could hang them
 above the kitchen sink.
Then you could read them while you got
yourself a drink.
Maybe you will set them on your night stand
For the night's you have trouble falling asleep
That way if in your mind your still awake
your dreams may take a peek
No matter where you hang them just be sure its
safe from tears and bend's.
For in this frame holds my precious
thoughts of good times with old friends
Because these words my friend come strictly
from my heart
This way we will be together
even when we are apart

All You Cat Lovers

For all you cat lovers
I just have fond memories
Of their certain self polishing skills
That they encounter after every meal
They lick and lick from their head to their toe
And even in-between as odd as that may seem
They run and pounce on anything they please
Other cats won't eat they are just plain finicky
Some Cat's sleep and sleep all through the day
And others don't care they just want to play
Those cat's that alway's bat at you're feet
They sneek in behind and under you're seat
Some Cats use that ruff toung of theirs 24/7
Other's wouldn't lick you if ya begged them
Cats that crawl's up your leg
just to see what you are cooking
The one alway's in the trash *Well.. He's Booking*
Surprize cat's that jump out of nowhere
to ride your pant leg down the hall
(Face it) All Cat's are the MASTER of the long distant fall
Just today, I was chatting to A Kitti Cat
Who's meow inspired me "imagine that"
For all you cat lover's this is all very plain
Just remember some cats are just a little insane

Here you are with me

A smile
         A dream
A long ago spoken word
  A flowered vest..
      an evening dress...
      A now unused cupboard
A empty pillow...
     A dried up rose
       Pictures without words...
A piece of land
 Stone and earth
         in shaking hands
 Sleepless nights...
      and pointless days
 Starlight without sight..
         Birds without flight
 Flowers without smell...
         trees with no leaves
All that is here...is me
A smile from in deep
     A talk that really mattered
A flower to smell ...
        or pin on your lapel
 Silk nighty still with tags
         A goose down pillow
A luscious rose
          Pictures worth a
               thousand words
 Land with good soil
      A stone to turn
A calming soft touch
  Starlight in sight
        Birds in motionless flight
Brightness fills the trees
     So many colored leaves
Now here you are
                       with me

Magical Thing's

I Love
Magical things like nursery tales
Like jack and jill and the water pale
That catapiller that was exactly 3 in's tall
passed out mushooms that made her big or small
Smoking and saying "Who Are You"??
Had Miss Alice wondering too
And the Wooden puppet with a nose could'nt lie
Just wanted to play like a real boy **he sighed**
Those little girls made of sugar & spice
And everything nice
Chicken Little saying the sky was falling on her head
And the rabbit that was gonna be late "so he said"
You know ET had to make long distant calls
How did Hupty Dumpty fall , just Sitting on that wall?
That deer bambi , thumper and their fine feathered friends
Fee Fye foe fumm and that boy that pulled out a plum
The painting of the roses red
That little old man who bumped his head
Rain, rain that just would'nt go away
Even if Little Johnny wants to play
Wonderful thing's we shared as kid's
And pass them on to our kid's so they could
laugh and smile just as we did

My Morning Sounds

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

Catching the morning sun rising through the trees from my back lawn
Sipping coffee in~between morning yawns

Listening to critters scatter the crisp leaves
Shifting eyes so that one stays on me

No human sound's
Moment's that have no bounds

A feeling of peace with everything
I wish this feeling could be passed around
So all of the world could be like my morning sounds

We Called him daddy

Charles Edger, Charlie, daddy & POP
At times each name applied
depending on life's chapter and who stood at his side

"Charles edger" beamed his parents
as they proudly gave the name
But "charles" was the version that his sister 'mary' claimed

Through many interesting chapters
"Charlie" was his name that was his true claim to fame

It was Charlie to his childhood friends and charlie to his wife..
Charlie was the name he heard throughout his professional life

"Daddy" was a special name reserve for only 4
throughout our childhood years it was the name we all adored

Daddy, let's go swimming daddy, sing that song
Daddy take us camping can our friends come along

Daddy, dress for halloween And flock the Christmas tree
Let me sit up on you'r shoulders
So the whole world i can see

We climbed down off his shoulders
And had children of our own
He answered then to "POP' As if it's all he'd ever known

Now each name is sound asleep
A long awaited rest
The name that he'll awaken to
Will be the best one yet

If You Were

If You Were

If you were a place you would be my heaven
A vision beyond peace beyond all everything
If you were a song you would sound like morning
As the birds start singing and the day is born
If I were a tree, I would protect you through all seasons
With my outstretched arms and my big soft leaves
If I were a book my title would be you
everytime I was picked up my words would all be new
If you were a thought you would be on my mind always
because nothing else compare's to you i know
If you were a sound ,i would play you back so many times
you would swear that the words come from my soul
If i were your shadow I would follow you in the sun
And go inside you in the cold
If you were a fragrance I would sprinkle you
behind each ear so everytime i took a breath
I could smell you from within
If we were to never see each others smiles
or touch each others skin
I want you to know
I would'nt pass up a chance
To do this all over again...
