I have to say a few thing's about that "bad boy"
Year's ago i sold fireworks for him in his first fireworks tent
The next year he had us going to Little Rock, Clinton, and few other places
And I heard from that time on just got bigger
Phil & his wife April lived in a little white house on the east side of Batesville
They had 2 beautiful children unless there were more after my time "smiles"
A few years later Batesville had a larger selection of tires thanks to Phil & Robert Foster
Wholesale Tire brought business & jobs  to batesville ...and that is not all
when I was reading the paper I started to think back about those year's
ok ..I guess he wasn't such a "BAD BOY"
I remember Phil and April being top of the line friends and parents
We laughed alot together .. always wonderful to me
How Great it is to see you are still working harder than ever
I hope your hard work has givin back to all of you as well

Thanks 4 Memories"smiles" (DMW Thdathg"

Customer Comes First

Here's and age old idea of basic economics. Taylor your business hours around the normal working hours of your 'potential' customers. Why even have a business, like to hardware, lumber, even home and office supplies when you are open when your 'customers' are at work.  It appears if you stagger your business hours to entice and reward new customers to frequent your business, you will be surprised at the amount of untapped revenue you will see at 'the bottom line'.  When most customers get off work to do their shopping, they find the business's also are getting off work and close up their doors.  Here's an idea; get a second shift going at your business including weekends, to get a better customer data base and then offer 'customer satisfaction, even to 'outsiders'. If all business's start this [new] trend in Batesville, they might be presently surprised at the increase in cash inflow and even equally importantly they will find a dedicated customer data base and referrals. If your business is [closed] how can you compete with those corporate giants open 24/7? Customers want to support their communities but also want to shop after work AND on weekends.  A simple solution? or just a burden on business owners. The secondary off-take of this idea is more jobs for our community. You have to spend money to make money. Everyone wins..business owner, customers, and job seekers.

Animals found in distress at Evening Shade residence, one dead

Thursday evening Sharp County deputies investigated a report of
animal neglect and found one horse that was dead and a number of other
horses in a pen. A large number of dogs were also penned. In addition
were goats, turkeys, ducks and chickens. All were without food or water and most were in distress.

Apparently no arrests were made.

Thought i would finish my story and let you know what the doctor at Children's Hospital in Little Rock had to say... My grandson could have even gone without stitches but he went ahead and gave him four stitches in his ear and sent him home... So my daughter drove all the way to Little Rock for four stitches..
If our hospital is not capable of this.. we should really take a close look at our health care!

Why Write In???

One simple fact that people need to realize is that the only way to get change is to demand it.  By writing in BILL LINDSEY on a ballot maybe enough of us can say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!  This County has been ran by Bowers long enough and everyone should be able to see he thinks he is above it all.  Strangly when a recount was requested in the primary election for Sheriff his Buddy the Commisioner denied it.  He only won when after a loosing battle all day the last of the boxes were hand counted and the machine had to be restarted multiple times which could have caused double counting in some cases.  I think something NEEDS to be done, but we as citizens will have to DEMAND it!!!!

WRITE IN BILL LINDSEY!!!!!!!!!
