MELBOUNE -- Three people were arrested for battery last week, according to Izard County Sheriff Earnie Blackley.
Dawn Renee Heard, 34, of Oxford, was arrested Jan. 27 by Deputy R.C. Lenex for third-degree battery. Heard was taken to jail and is to appear in Horseshoe Bend District Court on Feb. 5.
Casey Wayne Luedemann, 31, and Tammy Marie Luedemann, 51, both of Horseshoe Bend, were arrested Saturday for third-degree battery.
Both were taken to jail and released on their own recognizance with a March 5 date to appear in Horseshoe Bend District Court.
Daniel Wayne Dwight, 29, of Calico Rock was arrested Jan. 28 for first-degree criminal mischief, harassment, criminal trespass, and felony failure to appear. Dwight is being held in jail on no bond with a Feb. 7 date to appear in district court and a Feb. 11 date to appear in circuit court.
Meanwhile, six other people were arrested and went to jail for felony failure to appear charges. All were taken to jail and held with no bond, then given a Feb. 13 date to appear in circuit court:
• Danny Aubrey Sturgis, 63 (no address listed);
• Bryan Thomas, 38, of Pea Ridge;
• Zachoria Odell Henry, 22, of Calico Rock;
• James Clayton May, 30, of Batesville;
• George Miller, 53, of Evening Shade;
• Nicole Skidmore, 30, of Calico Rock.
A seventh, Joshua Daniel Jones, 37, of Melbourne was arrested for failure to pay district court fines. Jones is being held in jail in lieu of a $5,435 bond and is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on Feb. 7.
