The Batesville Junior Lady Pioneers won two matches on Saturday to advance to the championship match of the 4A-Northeast Junior High District Tournament at Valley View. They fell to the top-seeded Junior Lady Blazers in the title match 23-25, 25-15, 15-12 to bring up the runner-up trophy. The Centennial Bank team of Nathan Criss, Willie Jarrett, Billy Jarrett and Shane Smith took home the championship flight title of the Ozarka College Foundation Golf Tournament on Sept. 29. Thirty-four teams participated in the four-person scramble that took place at Cooper's Hawk Golf Course in Melbourne. All proceeds from the event will benefit the students of Ozarka College.
