As Arkansans brace for possible tornados in the months of March and April, the Old Independence Regional Museum is presenting “Tornado Survival Stories” at 2 p.m. Sunday, said curator Twyla Wright.
“A panel of people who experienced the destruction of a tornado will tell their stories,” Wright said.
Bill Coop was the principal of Batesville’s Central Elementary School when a tornado hit on Thursday, April 19, 1973.
