Wild game supper to be held at Charlotte

CHARLOTTE -- John 3:16 Ministries will host a Wild Game Supper on Saturday, June 1 at the camp, located at 75 Holmes Road, Charlotte.

Doors open at 3 p.m. at the ministry, 75 Holmes Road, Charlotte, with a silent auction getting under way. Food lines will start at 5.

The live auction starts at 6:30 and is followed by live entertainment provided by the men of John 3:16.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. Tickets include entry into the grand prize giveaway, a Spartan Mower -- and for this event, the winner must be present to win the mower.

For younger visitors, a "Kids' Corner" will be set up with bounce houses, games with free prizes, a live fishing tank, a BB gun shoot and bow and arrow shoot.

The ministry's indoor playground will also be open.

The menu includes fried and smoked deer, hog, shish kabobs, frog legs and alligator, but for the less adventurous, catfish and chicken strips will be served, as well.

The John 3:16 gift shop will be open, offering T-shirts and more for sale.

The camp also held a similar event at Verizon Arena in Little Rock on March 16. For more information about the wild game supper, call John 3:16 at 870-799-2525 or visit www.john316thecure.com.

The camp plans to open two 12-man new dorms in the next few weeks, bringing the total number to 185 residents.
