There is now a grant available to Independence and surrounding counties that helps recovering addicts, and Joyce Nash, northeast Arkansas community liaison for Arkansas Access to Recovery (ATR), is trying to get the word out.
“It was not going to be in Independence County but (District) Judge Chaney Taylor fought for it in our county,” said Nash.
