ASH FLAT — The Sharp County Quorum Court voted Monday to appeal a lower court’s decision to close a portion of Wildcat Road near the Sharp-Independence county line, County Judge Larry Brown said.
Stephens & Associates, owner of Wildcat Properties, expanded their land holdings in that area last year and asked the Sharp and Independence county courts to close the public road to the ranch, making it a private road.
