MOUNTAIN HOME — Businessman and educator Ben Ponder of Mountain Home has announced his candidacy as a Democrat for the U.S. House of Representatives in Arkansas’ First Congressional District.
Ponder grew up in Mountain Home and graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1993. After high school, he attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville as a Chancellor’s and Governor’s Scholar, earning bachelor’s degrees in communication and architectural studies. While an undergraduate, he was active in Christian campus ministries.
