New antique mall opens

Something Mary Etta Crowder has always wanted to do is run an antique store.

She will get her wish Thursday, as she and her husband, Kent, will open Etta’s Attic in the cleaned and refurbished former J.E. Bond and Pawn Shop building across from the courthouse in downtown Batesville.

“We’ve got a lot of really good vendors coming in; some of them are even from out of town and have run antique shops themselves in the past,” Crowder said recently.
