MELBOURNE — Izard County deputies were dispatched to a residence in Plantation Estates in Melbourne around 1 a.m. Saturday in response to a domestic situation where weapons were involved, Sheriff Tate Lawrence said in a news release.
According to the female victim, Joey E. Clairday, 20, of 3015 Plantation Circle grabbed her arm and twisted it and threw her onto the bed. Later during the fight, Clairday got a knife from the kitchen and said that he would kill her if she didn’t kill him first, Lawerence said. According to the report, the victim was holding a .40 caliber pistol.
