STRAWBERRY — Sonny and Shelia Polston of Strawberry have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Suzanne Polston, to Heath Teel, son of Tony and Linda Teel of Walnut Ridge.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Louise Gray and the late Earl Gray and Doris Polston and the late Jerrell Polston, all of Strawberry.
She is employed by U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service in Newport.
The prospective groom is the grandson of William Teel Jr. and the late Knowles Teel of Walnut Ridge and Opal Wassom of Fort Smith.

PLEASANT PLAINS — Carolyn Gould of Pleasant Plains and Rick and Donna Gould of Floral have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Brittanie Lenea Gould, to Steven Wayne Tate, son of Lois Zena Tate and the late Bobby Joe Tate of Violet Hill.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jimmy and Francis Gould and the late Peggy Gould and the late Ben and Alice Robbins, all of Floral. She is the great-granddaughter of Tressie Coots of Batesville and the late I.J. Coots.

No party is planned.

TULSA, Okla. — Katherine Kelley and James Hensel were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony Jan. 1 at the Kennedy Mansion in Tulsa, Okla.
The Rev. Daniel May officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Kirk and Marcia Kelley of Conway. The groom’s parents are Jim and Susan Hensel of Tulsa.
The mansion is a historic home built in the 1920s which is now a bed and breakfast. It has high ceilings, a ballroom and a grand staircase and is decorated with antiques. For the occasion its decorations included Christmas greenery, bows, wreaths and flowers.

Kelsey Burns and Wesley Brooks were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 31, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Batesville.
Dr. Robert Foster officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Sheila Burns and Doyle Burns, both of Mountain View. The groom’s parents are Dennis and Kathy Brooks of Batesville.

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Crawford A. “Joe” and Helen Maxine Tate Wyatt of Mountain View will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Foothills Baptist Church fellowship hall.
They were married Jan. 17, 1947, in Jamestown.
They have a son, Dr. Kenny Joe Wyatt, and a daughter-in-law, Lynne Wyatt.
The reception will be hosted by their son, daughter-in-law and special friends.
All friends are invited to attend.
The couple requests no gifts.

NEWARK — Melanie Riley and Keith and Lindsey Porter, all of Newark, have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Shelby Porter, to Chris Clark, son of Roger Clark, Joe Landers and Robin Crabtree, all of Lowell.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Juanita and Ken Porter, Bill and Nina Austin and Gary and Becky Riley.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Faye Clark of Lowell.
The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. Saturday at Newark First Baptist Church.
A reception will follow at the church.

NEWARK — Whitney Hembrey and Clint Reesor were married Dec. 17, 2011, in a private beach ceremony in Jamaica.
The bride wore a chiffon A-line gown which featured a pleated sweetheart bodice and a beaded empire waist with side drape and chapel train.
The bride is the daughter of Michelle Simmons of Newark and Greg Hembrey of Tuckerman. She is the granddaughter of Kenny and Jean Ann Gipson of Newark and the great-granddaughter of Ann Heath of Newport.

Raymond and Joyce Bradford of Batesville are celebrating their 51st wedding anniversary today.
Joyce Lacy and Raymond Bradford were married Jan. 6, 1961, in Holland, Mich.
Mr. Bradford is a retired welder. Mrs. Bradford is a homemaker.
They have six children, Joyce Powell of Heber Springs, Ray Bradford, Renea Keck, Danny Bradford and the late Johnny Bradford, all of Batesville, and Jason Bradford of Marion, Ind.
A family dinner is planned at a local restaurant on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mynatt will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary tonight with family at their home.
They were married in Sidney.
They have three children and three grandchildren.
