TUCKERMAN — Gerald Lynn Balch, 58, of Tuckerman died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012.
Born Aug. 4, 1953, at Newport, he was the son of G.L. and Mary Ann Williams Balch. He married Sheri Lynn Gallegly on Feb. 21, 1975. He was a truck driver at Dowell Transport of Batesville and was a member of Diaz Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing video games, puzzles, board games, hunting and telling stories to his grandchildren and was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan.
He was preceded in death by his father.

Carl G. Floyd, 69, of Batesville died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, in a Batesville hospital.
Born Jan. 4, 1943, at Floral, he was the son of Odis and Goldie McDougal Floyd. He was a retired agricultural foreman and enjoyed fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Rosemary Floyd; a son, Jerrod Floyd of Batesville; a daughter, Lisa Elmore of Memphis; two sisters, Gail Watlington of Pangburn and Cathy Tharp of Floral; a grandson, Austin Elmore of Memphis; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Anthony “Tony” Biggers, 35, of Batesville died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, in a Batesville hospital.
He was born May 25, 1976, at Batesville. He enjoyed motorcycles, big trucks and fishing.
Survivors include his father, Billy Melton of Batesville; his mother, Linda Biggers Walls of Batesville; a son, Quinton Riggs of Batesville; a daughter, Terrie Biggers of Floral; a brother, Chance Walls of Batesville; his grandmother, Virgie Staggs of Batesville; and an aunt, Tina Morford of Newton, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lonnie Staggs and E.J. Biggers.

SANDTOWN — Wanda Campbell Roach, 75, of Sandtown died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, in a Cave City nursing home.
Born March 9, 1936, at Sandtown, she was the daughter of Earnest C. and Belva E. Hastings Campbell. She worked for many years at International Shoe Factory in Batesville and retired from White-Rodgers in Batesville. She was a member of Pool’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at Sandtown.

Dr. G. Donald Bissell Jr., 87, of Batesville died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, in Batesville.
Born April 10, 1924, in Jamestown, N.Y., he was the son of George and Mildred Olson Bissell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, having served during World War II. He was a dentist and a professor at the University of Buffalo Dental School in Buffalo, N.Y. He enjoyed dancing with his wife and gardening and was a “die-hard” Buffalo Bills fan.

JUDSONIA — Minnie Mae Overstreet, 77, of Judsonia died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012.
Born Oct. 30, 1934, she was the daughter of Eddie and Minnie C. O’Dale Roberson. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and enjoyed bird watching, playing the piano and teaching Bible school and Sunday school.
Survivors include two sons, Claude Overstreet and Clint Overstreet; a daughter, Yvonne Nash; a brother, Paul Roberson; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

STRAWBERRY — Gennell Clinton, 83, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, in a Batesville hospital.
Born July 18, 1928, in Strawberry, she was the daughter of Joe Bob and ODessie Hubbard Williams. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County, a homemaker and a member of Strawberry Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Lanny Clinton of Rosebud and Phillip Clinton of Strawberry; five grandchildren, Cheri Ellis, Amanda Clinton and Steve Clinton, all of Rosebud, Christi Clinton of Collierville, Tenn., and Jeremy Clinton of Jonesboro; and four great-grandchildren.

MULESHOE, Texas — Tanner Bertram, 23, of Muleshoe, Texas, formerly of Guion, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, in Crosby County, Texas.
Born Oct. 29, 1988, in Lawton, Okla., he was the son of Charles Bertram and Paula Smith. He had attended Mount Pleasant High School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Guion. He had lived in Muleshoe since 2008, having moved from Phoenix. He was an avid motorcycle racer and had raced dirt bikes for 13 years. He enjoyed playing golf. He worked in metal fabrication.

Bethany Roebuck Etheridge, 20, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, formerly of Cave City, died Monday, January 30, 2012, in Jonesboro. 
She was born March 28, 1991, in Jonesboro, to Rusty and Gwen Fraley Roebuck. Bethany married Stuart Etheridge June 19, 2010, in Cave City. She enjoyed taking care of her son, spending time with her family, and loved her little dog Anna. She lived a very happy simple life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cave City.

Ruby Faye Palmer, 84, of Batesville died Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Cave City Nursing Home.
She was born August 23, 1927, in Roosevelt, Oklahoma, and was the daughter of Ruthie Ragan Reynolds and Charley Hays Reynolds. 
Ruby worked and retired from Wood-Lawn Nursing Facility as a CNA and beautician.  This was the only job she ever had. Ruby was a member of the Cave Creek Church of God for over 55 years.
