Looking back on my childhood I can honestly say that in addition to a couple of good friends, I adored the Langston girls.
Even though they were "considerably older" than I, both Marcia and Debbie always took the time to tote me around and treated me more like a little sister than anything else.

Saturday, my youngest granddaughter turns 1.
Last year when Jan. 31 rolled around we had one heck of an ice storm and a baby on the way. Determined to be there even if we had to make the trip via an ambulance, my two daughters and I headed what ended up being a long, icy road trip to the Baxter County hospital. The roads were so bad that morning that we were the only people out and I prayed as I crossed the Norfork Dam that I would be in control of that vehicle all the way down.

MELBOURNE - When Izard County authorities were notified Friday afternoon to be on the lookout for two men and a woman wanted in connection with armed robberies in Independence and Jackson counties, they began developing information that two of the three might be at a residence in Izard County.

MELBOURNE - Testimony in the trial of a former Izard County Consolidated teacher concluded Thursday with the jurors deliberating only for about an hour before they were dismissed and told to appear this morning at 8:30.

MELBOURNE - All four charges related to voyeurism were dropped Wednesday in the sex case against a former Izard County Consolidated teacher, and 21 additional felonies remain.
The state rested Wednesday and the defense will begin presenting its witnesses today.
