NEWPORT (AP) - Two factories in Newport employing a total of 85 people have closed and the work will be moved to Pocahontas.
America's Choice Products LLC and Newport Elastomer, both owned by North Smithfield, R.I.-based Newgrange Group LLC, closed Dec. 22. ACP makes shoes, pet toys and gel insoles. Newport Elastomer produces rubber pellets used for ACP products.
